Whisper (2019–2024) is a portrait of a generation of artists shaped by the restless spirit of Venice Beach, a place of freedom, wandering, dreams, and reinvention. Echoing the poetry and countercultural spirit of the Beat Generation, the work moves through the city like a stream of consciousnes.
The almost ethereal figures emerge, multiply, and disappear, as if fragments of thoughts, memories, and desires passing through the mind. Venice becomes a psychological labyrinth, a landscape in which inner and outer worlds constantly overlap.
Through light, color, and dissolution, Whisper evokes a generation caught between freedom and uncertainty, belonging and escape, in a search of meaning and possibility. More than a portrait of Venice, the work becomes a poetic journey into the minds of those who inhabit it: a wandering through the city, and through the labyrinth of the self.
